Applications for Café #1
Situation Before Using GolePOS
This popular coffee shop in Melbourne’s Fitzroy district, serving a steady stream of customers, had been using a traditional POS system with a bulky register and a limited display. The staff faced issues with inventory tracking, slow system processing, and difficulty managing peak hours due to the old, inefficient hardware. The café owner sought a solution that would not only optimize their checkout process but also allow them to serve customers quickly during busy hours.
After discussions, the decision was made to go with a 7-inch touchscreen tablet with a 1280×800 IPS display. This size was ideal for the small counter space, and the lower energy consumption of the N3350 CPU suited their requirement for a cost-effective yet reliable solution.
After Installation
The tablet was mounted on a compact counter stand, offering easy access to both the cashier and the customer. The Bluetooth functionality allowed seamless integration with the café’s wireless receipt printer, while the USB ports connected to a card reader. The system’s Android OS provided a user-friendly interface, making the transition from the old system very smooth for the staff.
The café owner mentioned that the new setup dramatically improved order processing speed and customer service. With the tablet’s portability, staff could also move it around the counter to assist customers and avoid clutter. The system has improved the flow of operations, especially during rush hours.
