Situation Before Using GolePOS
A small tapas bar in Barcelona’s El Born district relied on handwritten orders and a basic cash register. The system was cumbersome, and it was difficult for the bartenders to track orders and bill customers quickly, especially during busy evenings and weekends. The owner needed a POS system that could streamline ordering, improve service speed, and fit seamlessly into the bar’s rustic decor.
After consulting with GolePOS, the decision was made to go with a 15.6-inch tablet with a 1920×1200 IPS display, which was compact enough for the small bar counter. The tablet was equipped with Android OS for flexibility and easy customization, and NFC for faster, contactless payments.
After Installation
The 15.6-inch tablet was mounted on a wall-mounted VESA stand above the bar counter, ensuring easy access without taking up counter space. The Bluetooth-enabled payment system allowed customers to pay directly from their phones, while the USB ports connected to a receipt printer.
The owner reported that the new tablet system had dramatically improved the service speed, especially during peak hours. The bar staff could take orders and process payments faster, and the compact system allowed the bar to maintain a clean and organized counter. The low energy consumption was also a plus, as it kept operating costs down.
