Applications for Casual Dinning #1
Situation Before Using GolePOS
A small Casual Dining of Tokyo had been relying on a traditional POS system with a small cash register and printed receipt system. The register was slow, and there were frequent issues with the card reader, which caused delays during busy dinner hours. The sushi bar’s owner wanted a modern, space-saving solution that would not only speed up the checkout process but also enhance the overall dining experience for customers.
After consulting with the GolePOS team, the decision was made to use a 7-inch touchscreen tablet with a 1280×800 IPS display, which was ideal for the tight counter space in the bar. The tablet was also equipped with NFC for contactless payment and Bluetooth for connection to the receipt printer.
After Installation
The 7-inch tablet was mounted on a countertop stand, allowing the server to quickly process orders and payments. The integration with the restaurant’s Wi-Fi network and Bluetooth-enabled card reader enabled faster checkout and contactless payments. The tablet’s energy-efficient N3350 CPU ensured smooth operation without overheating, even during the busiest hours.
The owner reported a significant improvement in order processing time and customer satisfaction. Customers could pay quickly and easily, reducing wait times at the counter. The small size of the tablet saved space and was easy to move, making it ideal for a compact environment like a sushi bar.
