Applications for Coffee Shop #2
Situation Before Using GolePOS
A small coffee shop in London’s Shoreditch district had been using a clunky, old POS system that took up too much counter space and was prone to system crashes. The baristas had trouble tracking orders during peak hours, and the coffee shop had no way to accept contactless payments, which was becoming a major issue with more customers opting for mobile payment methods. The shop owner sought a more modern and compact solution that would be easier to use and integrate with their point-of-sale software.
After speaking with the GolePOS team, the decision was made to go with a 8-inch touchscreen tablet with a 1280×800 IPS display. The tablet was configured with Bluetooth for connecting a mobile card reader, Wi-Fi for cloud-based order tracking, and Android OS for ease of use.
After Installation
The 8-inch tablet was installed on a simple countertop stand that didn’t take up too much space. The tablet’s Wi-Fi connectivity allowed for quick order updates and tracking, while the Bluetooth-enabled mobile payment system allowed the coffee shop to accept contactless payments. The system also integrated smoothly with the cloud-based POS software, helping staff track inventory in real-time.
The owner reported a significant boost in efficiency and customer satisfaction. Customers could pay faster with their mobile devices, reducing checkout times. The tablet’s small size and low energy consumption were also appreciated, as they helped save space and reduced operating costs. The overall setup improved the shop’s operations and provided a more professional customer experience.
